Enso Rings Review by a Healthcare Professional

As a critical care pharmacist and with family in healthcare, you know that I love highlighting companies that are practical for everyday life. I’m SO excited to introduce Enso silicone rings to you today. This is NOT sponsored by Enso.

After getting engaged in last month (February 2020) after 7+ years together, it was time to find a ring that I could wear in the hospital, while cooking and while working out. There was NO way I would wear my ring in some of these settings – quality matters and protecting diamonds/platinum bands are important if you want your jewelry to last for years. Plus, many women forget that metal jewelry was never meant to wear in showers, pools, while cooking with oils/grease/spices and while working out. The materials are not meant for these environments so let’s protect our rings and go to silicone!

Enso Silicone Rings Review

I decided to look for a silicone ring that looked good, fit well, was based in the US and reasonably priced. I found Enso Rings.

First, I looked into their values and give back program. Their Rings for a Reason (R4R) program is set-up to donate to organizations around the world with our purchase. They have donated over $100,000 to organizations  in 2018. Learn more about their current campaigns here.

Enso Rings produces their Elements and Legends rings at their headquarters in Lehi, Utah. They’re handcrafted by people who enjoy the process of creation and believe in the value of a quality product. The Enso craftsmen process allow their rings to be unlike any other on the market.

Why buy silicone?

Safety is a huge concern as a healthcare professional. Metal rings are a risk for ring evulsion – a serious condition that could limit blood flow to your finger and cause permanent damage. If you don’t believe me, read this article about how NOT funny a ring evulsion experience can be…aka losing a finger.

Comfortable fit is a must for me. The soft silicone material makes the Enso rings much more comfortable than my metal platinum band. I KNOW when I’m wearing my diamond band because it’s bulky. The silicone band molded to my finger and within days, I didn’t even notice I was wearing it.

Convenience in our full lives is a must. As I said earlier, Enso rings can be worn anytime while metal rings need to be taken off to wash the dishes, cooking and chopping vegetables or meat, working out at the gym, showering, swimming, and sometimes in the hospital while taking gloves on and off. I have chosen to wear my Enso rings instead of my diamond band during these activities. Yes, I’ll still wear my diamond band during the day when I’m teaching and at my desk but I don’t need to wear it ALL the time! Plus, when children are in the house, silicone may be a safer option.

Luxury without compromise. Yes, many people think silicone rings are not very appealing to the eyes. WRONG. I love the variety of options available. There are ones that mimic rose gold, gold gold and silver/aluminum. There are different styles that are thin, medium or thick for varying hand sizes. There are ones to stack or ones to wear alone. And the best part? Enso rings cost about 1/100th the price of a diamond or metal ring!

Enso Rings Fit and Style

Ok, how do silicone rings actually fit?! Wonderfully! I wear a Size ~4.5 in my diamond band (yes, it’s BOTH my engagement ring and wedding ring because I refuse to wear 2 bulky rings or have one sit in a locked safe for special occasions only but that was a rant and I’ll talk about that in a post about why we’re NOT having a wedding as well…financial freedom > debt). My Enso ring is a Size 4. Yes, Enso recommends sizing DOWN.

I purchased the Stackable style (shop here) and the Elements Style (shop here). The elements comes in a few widths and I chose thin (they also have halo or classic). This ring is rose gold. For the stackable style, I chose braided and white and pink sand as my colors. I prefer the stackable look when on my hand because I feel the coloring is a little off with the rose gold against my skin tone.
